Instructional Technology Tools
West Perry School District utilizes several digital tools operated by third parties. These include GSuite for Education, Quizlet, Edpuzzle, Code.org, and similar educational programs.
This list of approved digital tools is updated regularly, so be sure to check back often for new digital tools. Please note that this list of tools are the ones that are available for use, but not necessarily actively used in each class.
In order for our students to use these tools, certain personal identifying information, generally the student’s name and school-assigned email address must be provided to the third party operator. Under the federal “Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act”, these websites must provide parental notification and obtain parental consent before collecting personal information from children under the age of 13. For more information on COPPA please visit the Federal Trade Commission's Frequently Asked Questions page:

The law permits schools such as West Perry School District to consent to the collection of personal information on behalf of all of their students, thereby eliminating the need for individual parental consent given directly to the web site operator. An electronic consent is on the new student enrollment form.
