The Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Dr. Lucas Clouse as Superintendent of the West Perry School District, effective July 1st. Dr. Clouse brings nineteen years of administrative experience within the district, along with deep personal roots in the community. As a graduate of West Perry, a parent of a graduate, and with two children currently enrolled, he offers a unique perspective that blends institutional knowledge with a genuine investment in our shared future.
 
Dr. Clouse has served for fifteen years as an elementary principal across all three district elementary schools, followed by four years as the Communication and Compliance Administrator. This breadth of experience provides him with a comprehensive understanding of district operations, challenges, and opportunities, allowing him to step into this role prepared to lead effectively from day one.
 
As superintendent, Dr. Clouse is committed to advancing the important work already underway, including strengthening curriculum and instruction, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the district's long-term financial stability.
 
Dr. Clouse's leadership philosophy emphasizes collaboration and accountability. He believes the strongest decisions are made when diverse perspectives are heard, valued, and aligned toward shared goals. At the same time, he is dedicated to maintaining high expectations, using data to guide decision-making, and ensuring accountability for student outcomes.
 
Dr. Clouse is guided by a deep respect for the traditions and core values that define West Perry, paired with a clear, forward-focused commitment to educational excellence. He believes every graduate should leave our district with a clear sense of direction and the preparation to contribute meaningfully as an engaged and productive citizen.
 
With this appointment, the Board is confident that the District Office has a cohesive leadership team with a shared direction for the future. This continuity allows the district to build on existing momentum and move forward with purpose and unity. The goal is not to reset the course, but to strengthen and advance the work already in progress.
