Students at Competition

On September 19, 2022, nine West Perry FFA members attended the All American Dairy Management Contest at the farm show complex. There were many teams present from Pennsylvania, but teams from other states competed as well. While there, students were challenged with their understanding of the dairy industry. The students tested their knowledge in seven areas: Judging Dairy Cattle, Agriculture Business, Dairy Housing and Cow Environment, Animal Welfare, Feed Management, and Nutrition, Linear Evaluation of Dairy Cattle, and Dairy Foods and Milk Quality. Two Teams represented West Perry School District. Team B placed first in the competition and consisted of Rylee Fuller, Julie Loy, Katelynn Leber, and Vera Innerst. Team A placed ninth in the competition and consisted of Gavin Neff, Sadie Innerst, Sage Kitner, and Kayla Kuza. Olivia Neff also competed as an individual.
