As of March 2019, Mr. David Zula serves as Superintendent of West Perry School District. 

Throughout his educational career, Mr. Zula has held an array of positions which have provided him with diverse experiences which he brings to West Perry. Mr. Zula began his career as an elementary teacher at his hometown school district, Minersville before moving to Tamaqua Area School District as an elementary teacher. Mr. Zula’s administrative experiences began in 2006 when he served as an Assistant Elementary Principal. Since then he has also served as an Assistant Middle School Principal, an Elementary Principal at Blue Mountain Elementary and a Middle/High School Principal at Fannett-Metal School District. Mr. Zula has also been a High School Baseball and High School Football coach. He obtained his Bachelor of Art Degree in Political Science and Elementary Education, his Master of Science in Educational Leadership and his Principal’s Certification from Wilkes University. He earned his Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from Shippensburg University.

Mr. Zula is eager to lead a school district that can provide many opportunities to its students. He is thrilled to join the West Perry community and work with administrators, support staff, teachers and families to ensure success for all West Perry students.
