Compliance Monitoring

The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education (BSE) monitors all school districts in the state at least once every six years to ensure that they are complying with federal and state regulations for special education. West Perry will be reviewed during the 2020-2021 school year. As part of this monitoring, the BSE seeks parent opinions about the special education services being provided. Although parents of students with disabilities are not required to participate in the survey, the BSE and West Perry School District encourage you to do so if you have a child that receives special education services.

To complete the survey, go online to http://apps.leaderservices.com/ParentSurvey. If you do not have a computer, contact your child's special education teacher in order discuss how the district can accommodate you. The survey should only take you 15-20 minutes. An outside agency tabulates the results and provides West Perry and the BSE with a report of how parents responded to questions on an overall basis. Names are not used and no one is identified.

Should you have any questions about the survey, or if you need help completing, you may contact Stephanie States, Coordinator of Student Services at 717-789-3934, or the Special Education Consultline toll free at 1-800-879-2301.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your input.
