
The West Perry School Board has adopted several revised board policies during the 2018-19 school year, many of these were to maintain compliance with updated state and federal regulations.
The following revised policies have been adopted to date:

- #255 - Education Stability for Children in Foster Care
- #709 - Building Security
- #305 - Employment of Substitutes
- #823 - Naloxone
The following policies had a first reading at the January board meeting and are expected to be adopted at the February 11 board meeting.

All adopted board policies are available for review, download or printing on West Perry’s Boarddocs website. During the revision process, the proposed policies are available on the board meeting agenda on AgendaManager.
While all of these policies are important, we want to highlight the attendance policy as it represents a change from past practice.
Policy 204 - Attendance outlines the number and types of absences which are counted as lawful and the process that occurs when a student is truant or habitually truant. A summary of the policy has been sent via SchoolMessenger to all parents/guardians with email addresses on file with the district.
