Welcome to the Environmental Stewardship Club!
 
This club is advised by Mrs. Jennifer Bandura who is the ninth grade Earth/Environmental Science Teacher.  The club is open to students in 9-12 grades and meets on day 3.  If you are interested in protecting natural resources, educating others about environmental issues, and being a good environmental steward...this club is for you!
 
Club initiatives may include:
  • Coordination of the high school recycling program.
  • Environmental awareness programs targeted to high school students, faculty, and staff.
  • Presentations to middle school students on recycling and other environmental concepts.
  • School beautification projects (courtyard improvements, tree plantings, landscaping).
  • Participation in the Great PA Cleanup program.
  • Local field trips to educate members on environmental issues.
  • Newsletters to parents and community members on environmental topics such as protection of private wells and radon awareness.
  • Meetings with government officials to discuss local, county, state, and federal initiatives and programs.
  • Guest speakers to educate club members on environmental concepts.
  • Development of a county-wide drinking water testing program.
