The West Perry School District is located in scenic, rural Perry County. Encompassing over 300 square miles, the district houses nearly 2,700 students in three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The high school campus is also home to River Rock Academy - an alternative education option for secondary students.
As a resident of the district, I have seen firsthand the quality of a West Perry School District education. As a parent and former district student I know that West Perry School District employs exemplary teachers who are caring and dedicated. The West Perry School District is committed to continuing the tradition of excellence, with high expectations for our students and our staff. Our District themes continue to focus on improving student learning, caring, commitment, and efficiency and effectiveness. It is my goal and expectation that you will see evidence of attention to these themes throughout the district.
Our District Goals for the 2012-2013 school year continue to focus on educational leadership, mission and vision, community engagement, district culture, and technology. Despite budgetary challenges, the district administration strives to continue to make noticeable and recognizable improvements in each of these areas. As the West Perry School District continues to make decisions impacting educational progress, we are interested in the viewpoints of parents and community members on educational issues. We welcome the participation of stakeholders in various committees and/or advisory groups.
