Dr. Michael O'Brien serves as West Perry School District's Superintendent. Dr. O'Brien is an accomplished administrator with over 35 years of public service. 

Dr. O'Brien began his career as a science teacher at New Oxford Middle School. He then held administrative positions at Gettysburg High School and New Oxford High School.  Dr. O'Brien coached basketball, volleyball and Junior Olympics for over 20 years. Prior to coming to West Perry, Dr. O'Brien was the superintendent at Ridgway School District in Elk County, Pennsylvania. 

During his tenure at West Perry, Dr. O'Brien has focused his leadership in five key areas: use of instructional time, literacy, Keystone Exams, academic assessments, and student performance data. He is a strong advocate  for West Perry. He communicates with our elected officials to inform them of the impact of legislation and legislative changes on West Perry residents and students.
